I never saw such succinct-yet-heartfelt acceptance speeches in my life. Let's do that again next year with some other beloved veteran actor. I'm thinking Andy Griffith. Her caustic hillbilly is a totally original new character in sitcomdom. I love "The Office" too and was glad it won. And Barry Manilow's win and speech? Totally laughable. Did he even realize he wasn't at the Grammys? I don't blame Stephen Colbert. His reaction was great. I also laughed during the opening titles of all of Aaron Spelling shows. Did I ever watch even a single one of them? Hell no. Dreck, one and all. I wish the "Charlie's Angel's" chicks would have had a giant cat fight though. Now that would have been funny.
