Hmmm...you know, Zappos.com has a whole section of vegetarian shoes--they might have bags also:
http://www.zappos.com/vegetarian.htm

The things that come to mind right off the bat are Prada nylon bags (which sometimes have leather fixtures, but not always) www.modaparty.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&#38;ProdID=302

What about le sportsac? They have some super cute shoulder bags and they come in patterns, solids, and funky fabrics. www.lesportsac.com.

I'll keep brainstorming for you, but these should give you some ideas.
xoxo

I'm actually looking forward to avoiding the whole corned beef thing entirely... which is only happening because Mrs. Geek's seriously Irish family has not yet invited us to where it will be served. *sarcasm on* Oh yeah, boiled beef. Yum. *sarcasm off* I don't need to be a vegan to think twice about going there. Then again... we keep thinking that we're not being invited because someone is mad at us. Oh well, every dark cloud has a silver lining and all. Gotta love family

Actually, as you can imagine, I used to always say "pockabook."

Then when I moved on up to an office job in the City, I realized it was actually a <I>handbag</I>, la ti da!

Purse is what my Great-Grandma called it. I could never jump on to that one.

I like the bag! I also like that you call it a bag, and not a purse, like my Washingtonified ass. Of course, there's always "pockabook." ;-)
