I’m sick.

:::ack ack:::

Just came back from the doctor’s office; have a sore throat, some congestion, head cold, phlegm-type illness crap. Whatever, I’m not happy. I’ve been on top of the world lately, feeling physically the best I’ve ever felt. And now I feel like shit.

I know it’ll pass soon, but still, I’m unhappy. It’s a bad time. I scheduled days off at work for my mama’s visit next week, but now I had to take today off and probably tomorrow too.

Dave is sick too, of course, because when one of us gets something, the other one is right there with it too. Yesterday, neither of us could really talk so we had to IM each other all day. This got a little tricky when we blew the electricity through half the house.

We are the most energy-conscious couple. We don’t leave the air conditioner on while we’re out; we shut lights, we unplug items not in use. Yet yesterday, during a moment of complete non-clarity, we attempted to run the fridge, air conditioner, washer, dryer, microwave, Foreman grill, computer, and various low-watt light bulbs all on the same breaker.

Good one, I know.

What’s worse is that when we flicked the breaker back up, only the lamps came back on. It took nearly an hour for us to realize that there’s a master circuit breaker out in the utility room!!!!! Found it, flicked it, all was well once again.

So, yeah, I’m going to get some rest now.

Happy 36th Anniversary to my beloved Aunt and Uncle!

Oh, and I completely forgot to mention this, but I added “Podcast” to my blog. Basically, you click the button at the end of each entry and that entry will be read back to you. That means that you can hit the button, then step away, continue to dust or scrub the floor or whatever it is you do, and listen to my soothing words as spoken by a female computer voice. Enjoy!

    Summer cold-type illnesses suck. I’m sorry! Get lots of rest, drink your fluids, and all that. (Though I do love the bit about you guys IMing each other. I must remember that next time I’m sick!)
