Tea Latte
Saturday, September 16th, 2006 at 5:21 pmRemember the other day when I was asking about Starbucks? Well, thanks to all of your suggestions combined with my determination, I’m now a full-fledged Starbucks junkie.
Since Wednesday, I’ve enjoyed a tall Soy Green Tea Latte every day. But now I’m home, with no Starbucks conveniently located a block away. And I have a feeling that I just won’t enjoy the local cafe the way I enjoy the ones in Manhattan. (Plus, let’s face it, I could stand to save the $4.06, right?)
But I really, really want some tea! So I decided to make my own special beverage and it came out great (see photo at left).
Soy Vanilla Chai No-Foam Latte
1 bag Vanilla Twinnings tea
1 bag Chai tea
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon light agave nectar
1/4 cup soy milk, heated
2 tablespoons Soyatoo soy whipped cream
Place sugar and tea bags in cup; add boiling water and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. Add agave and soy milk, stir. Top drink with soy whipped cream. ENJOY!!!!
Eventually, I’ll order a box of Green Tea Latte from the Starbucks online store, so that I can make it at home. But, I don’t have one of those frothers, and I have to say, I’m quite fond of the foamy latte, so I have a feeling I’ll still be frequenting the cafe during lunchtime. (Well, I am a junkie now.)

It was sooo awesome!! It’s as if you captured the spirit of Starbucks and brought it home with you.
Yummers!
