No, I’m not totally abandoning empresseve.com, just devoting more time elsewhere.

Remember The GeekZine site I worked on? Well, it’s no more.

Now, the majority of us from GZ are over at Geeks of Doom — stuff by geeks, about geeks, for geeks. (That’s the preliminary b&w G.O.D. logo at right.)

I was going to wait to post about it, but since I’ve been spending most of my time there writing about stuff like the new Star Wars stamps, the cover for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the Lego Batman Videogame, and much, much more, I figured I should say something here.

Dave is currently working on a site design, but til then we’re bloggin’ it. And working on a bunch of ideas for the future with our fellow contributors, a few of which are new, so I’m excited that more people are interested in writing there. We’re havin’ a grand old time, so stop by and leave us some comment love.

Metal Niece, who’s now also known as Niece of Doom, is coming for a visit this weekend. We’re going to see Blades of Glory on Saturday, not sure what the plans are for Sunday, but Monday she comes to work with me. She’s excited to see my new, larger office where she can sit at the extra workstation. Unlike my old office, in this one I have two computers, both of which have Internet access, iTunes, DVD player, and fun stuff for her to play with like Photoshop and Photo Booth. It’s been awhile since she’s been free to stay with us for an extended time, since she’s in dance competitions most weekends, so I’m looking forward to her visit.
